Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School:  Vacation Bible School is held from 9 am - 12 noon for one week in the summer in either June of July.  Three churches partner together to produce a community Vacation Bible School.  The churches are Murfreesboro Baptist Church, Murfreesboro United Methodist Church, and First Baptist Church of Murfreesboro.  Children from the Murfreesboro community attend sessions with Bible stories, music, crafts, recreation, and assemblies.  Volunteers from all churches participate.  Breakfast and lunch are also served.  An ice cream social is held on Wednesday night at 7 pm during the VBS week.  Friday night concludes with a cookout and program. 

VBS 2016 will be held from June 27-July 1 from 8:30 am- 12:30 pm at Murfreesboro Baptist Church.  This year's theme is Barnyard Roundup:  Jesus Gathers Us Together.  Children will learn that Jesus cares, provides, leads, forgives, and is our Savior, now and forever.  Children will participate in crafts, Bible story, recreation, music, and assemblies.  The annual ice cream social will be held on June 29 at 7 pm at First Baptist Church.  The cookout and program will be held at 6 pm on July 1 at Murfreesboro United Methodist Church.  Children aged 3 through fifth grade are welcome to attend.  Youth are encouraged to help.
